Live Camera - Great Bear Salmon Spawning Stream
Down for the Season
This camera is situated alongside a river in the Great Bear Rainforest where pink and chum salmon return to spawn and where wolves and bears come to fish each fall. The camera is streamed into the Bella Bella Community School where students have the ability to control the camera from their classrooms. Combined with field trips and study guides for The Sea Wolves and The Salmon Bears, this camera is a resource for the SEAS Community Initiative. Click here to view highlights from this camera.
We encourage you to sign up for alerts via text message, email, Facebook and/or Twitter. These alerts will let you know when there is something exciting happening on the remote cameras. Additionally, we would encourage you to participate in the research and let us know when you witness any wildlife sightings via these live video streams.
This camera is available online from roughly dawn until dusk Pacific Standard Time. We may, however, experience degraded satellite internet connection during severe weather which can affect the quality of the live stream.
