The panel reviewing Enbridge's Northern Gateway project has set dates for public information sessions next month about the federal environment review process.

In the Northwest, sessions will be held between June 8th and 22nd in the following locations.

Burns Lake - June 8

Chamber of Commerce Heritage Centre
7 - 9 p.m.

Queen Charlotte City - June 14

Community Hall
7 - 9 p.m.

Prince Rupert - June 15

North Coast Convention Centre
5 - 9 p.m.

Kitimat - June 16

River Lodge Community Centre
5 - 9 p.m.

Smithers - June 22

Hudson Bay Lodge

Further sessions are also being arranged for Hartley Bay, Kitkatla, Klemtu and Bella Bella.

The sessions will provide people with information about the review process and how the public can participate. They are not designed to receive or discuss the merits of the crude oil pipeline project itself. That will come later at hearings in January and February and June and July of next year.

Enbridge wants to build a pipeline to carry oilsands crude to Kitimat for loading on tankers for shipment to Asia.
