Mike Berard is a born-and-raised Vancouver Islander who has dedicated his life to telling stories of the people, animals, oceans, forests and mountains of British Columbia. He has worked as a writer for almost two decades, and is a graduate and former instructor at Western Academy of Photography in Victoria, B.C. Berard most recently worked as Chief Storyteller at SeaLegacy, and as an editor with Patagonia in Ventura, California. He enjoys mountain biking, river swimming, surfing, and skiing. He lives in the tiny town of Cumberland, in the Comox Valley.
