Each year, wildlife killing contests take place in British Columbia (B.C.), targeting predators like wolves, cougars, coyotes and bears. During these contests, contestants are awarded points for the most and largest animal(s) killed – for cash, prizes and entertainment. This blood sport is unethical and can have devastating ecological consequences. Allowing B.C. wildlife to be slaughtered for sport is a clear rejection of the values held by the vast majority of Canadians and blatantly disrespects the cultural values of many First Nations. Sign the letter to tell B.C. government end the cruel and unscientific wildlife killing contests.
