The 'Artist' or 'Maker' agrees to promote and market 'the piece(s)' via their own networks, web site and social media channels. Pacific Wild is not responsible for marketing or selling the piece(s).
The 'Artist' or 'Maker' agrees to use the hashtags #ArtistsfortheGBR and #WildAuction2020 on all posts and communications for their promotion.
The 'Artist' or 'Maker' agrees to use Pacific Wild's Wild Auction 2020 platform on CharityAuctionsToday to accept bids. Offline bidding creates confusion on the bidding process and online bidders not having the opportunity to outbid other buyers as the auction closes and reflects poorly on Pacific Wild and the Artist. You may set up a proxy on Charity Auctions Today but the user's credit card information must be entered as a commitment to payment should they have the winning bid.
If you have buyers who need to pay by cheque, please contact the Auction Curator and cc
[email protected] once you've received your welcome package and the connection information for our Curator.
The 'Artist' or 'Maker' understands there is no guarantee their work will be promoted directly in the Pacific Wild @friendsofpacificwild Instagram Account or on the social wall for the hashtag campaign, though we will do our best to ensure the work does appear on our wall inside PacificWild.org.
The 'Artist' or 'Maker' agrees they are responsible for completing the sale of the piece(s) and completing the packaging and shipping to the buyer. A shipping fee will be automatically added to every piece in the auction and the buyer is responsible. If the shipping costs are greater than the shipping charged, Pacific Wild will cover the difference from the donation received from the artist.
The 'Artist' or 'Maker' commits to the split of the sale selected in the signup process. The donation should be received by Pacific Wild no later than December 10, 2020 so we can include the donation in our celebration of the Auction and our communications with our Pacific Wild supporters and with media. 'Auction Week' is November 2-6 and the Auction is November 9-12. Your work should be ready to ship November 13, though you may arrange a later date with the buyer.
Pacific Wild will charge the buyer's credit card through Charity Auctions Today and pass through the entire amount -5% to the artist, who will fulfill the purchase and donate back according to the split selected during signup.
A tax receipt will be provided to Canadian and US donating artists via the donation process on our web site.
The 'Artist' or 'Maker' retains all rights to the work created. The 'Artist' or 'Maker' agrees that Pacific Wild may use images of the piece(s) in our communications, media releases, social media channels and printed journal, with credits to the artist.
Pacific Wild is not responsible for any images used in our communications, media releases or other promotions from being copied or used other than intended by outside third parties. We will clearly state copyright remains with the artist and no other use is permitted without direct communication with the artist/maker and without their explicit written permission.
Your welcome package will include instructions for setting up your auction profile on CharityAuctionsToday's Pacific Wild Auction 2020 site in September and how to upload the final image of your artwork. While you're welcome to share the process of creating your art in your own channels and we hope you'll share information about Pacific Wild as well, no bidding should take place *except* on the final piece uploaded to the actual auction site.
The Auction Curator will also be scheduling artist takeovers of the Friends of Pacific Wild Instagram account for Auction week, and ensuring all artists complete their bio and provide an image for social sharing to promote their work in the auction.
We are so excited for your participation, and grateful for your support of the important work of conserving the Great Bear Rainforest ecosystem, and our coastal foundation fish, for generations to come. You are a critical part of our ecosystem of hope. We can't wait to see your work!
