Leave a Legacy for Wildlife

The Great Bear Rainforest is a remarkable legacy. Pacific Wild was founded to ensure that the biodiversity of this region is championed, to not only be conserved, but actively protected for future generations.

Planned giving is the act of making a commitment in your will to give a charitable organization a major gift, over time or at death, as part of the donor’s overall financial and estate planning.

Planning your estate is a crucial step, understanding the ways your gift can best benefit Pacific Wild and represent your wishes is also important. We encourage you to contact us.

There are many ways that gifts can be structured. Gifts may come in the form of money, proceeds of an estate, gifts of property (a boat!), by making Pacific Wild a beneficiary of a life insurance policy, stocks and securities or an investment. Tax benefits often accompany a gift from a will or estate.

It can be a pleasure to share one’s vision of their legacy with the organization they plan to bestow it to. Again, we are happy to meet with you and share our vision of the future and how support, even things that may seem as trivial as a boat or art-work, can help safeguard the Great Bear Rainforest and the species you love in the Pacific Northwest.

While some gifts may be large, many are small. Regardless of size, all gifts are important to help us continue. Our staff are spread out (often on boats!) and our fundraising department is part-time. The best way to contact us is by email at michaelc@pacificwild.org so that we can begin a conversation in person.
