Last week, on Thursday January 27, Pacific Wild learned that the B.C. government has extended its controversial wolf cull program for five additional years during a meeting with several stakeholders, including First Nations, industry representatives and recreational groups.
In response, our organization broke the news to traditional media in a press release available here. The story has since been picked up by major local and provincial news outlets. This coverage is collected below.
We are asking B.C. residents who are opposed to the government’s decision to contact the Minister of Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development, Katrine Conroy (FLNR.Minister@gov.bc.ca) about their concerns. Share this story online using the hashtag #SaveBCWolves and join our community of wolf advocates.
Please also consider sending a letter to Steven Guilbeault, the federal Minister of Environment.
