UBCIC Passes Resolution in Support for BC First Nations’ Territorial Management

On March 17, 2022 the Union of BC Indian Chiefs passed resolution #2022-09 titled “Support for BC First Nations’ Territorial Management and Protection of Caribou and Wolf Populations”.

The UBCIC resolution provides critical Indigneous perspectives and highlights the importance of holistic ‘government to government’ fields of vision regarding the provincial wolf-cull program and broader caribou conservation concerns. Resolution #2022-09 was publicly shared with Honourable Katrine Conroy, Honourable Murray Rankin and Honourable Josie Osborne.

Pacific Wild is grateful for the proactive leadership of the UBCIC and the valuable Indigenous voices it represents.
