This year, Pacific Wild made remarkable progress in the fight to protect British Columbia’s wildlife and wild spaces. With the tireless efforts of our team, volunteers, and supporters, 2024 has been a year of action and impact.
In 2024, our collective efforts sparked over 1,000 news stories, mobilized 35,000 letters to decision-makers, and reached 7 million viewers worldwide with our videos. Behind the scenes, we analyzed millions of data points and actively participated in dozens of government consultations and stakeholder meetings to advocate for wildlife.
Here’s what we accomplished together:
Saving B.C. Wolves
We amplified the call to protect wolves from harmful government culls and unchecked hunting practices, raising awareness about these vital apex predators.
Advocating for Bears
Our team pushed for stronger protections for B.C.’s bears, ensuring their survival in the face of increasing threats.
Defending Ancient Rainforests
We exposed ongoing risks to globally rare, ancient rainforests, highlighting their irreplaceable value to the planet.
Fighting for Sustainable Fisheries
We raised our voices—loud and clear—for sustainable fisheries to protect marine life and coastal ecosystems.
